Breeze Data Enrichment: Is It Worth Your Investment?

If you're anything like us, you always look for tools to add more oomph to your data game. Recently, we got our hands on the HubSpot Breeze Data Enrichment tool, and we thought it was the perfect time to give you a first-hand look at what it's all about. This tool promises to enrich your data by providing additional insights, but does it live up to the hype? Let's dive in and see if it fits the bill or just another shiny AI button that needs a bit more polish.

The Transition from Free to Paid Data Services

When we first explored Breeze Data Enrichment, we noticed the shift from free to paid data services. If you've been using HubSpot's free Company Insights, you might feel a pinch, as turning on Breeze Intelligence means waving goodbye to that free data.

The Company Insights feature, which we've relied on for free company details, gets switched off sometime in 2025, leaving some gaps that Breeze Data Enrichment will fill—for a fee. This tool isn't cheap at $30 for every 100 credits, and understanding the billing can be a bit of a puzzle. While this tool offers some new insights, it's important to weigh whether those insights justify the cost, especially if you're used to getting your data fix for free. Without it in the future, you won't even get the Company Name when the company record is automatically created from the domain.

Key Advantages of Using Breeze Insights

breeze intelligence_hubspotDespite the transition pains, Breeze does bring some cool features to the table. Once you dig in, you can enrich your data with additional fields that can be great for segmenting and analyzing your audience. In our tests, we were able to pull in some valuable details like contact first and last names, which can be a game-changer for personalization efforts.

While the tool might not be dishing out revenue details or specific job titles just yet, the basic info can still be pretty handy. If you're looking for a little more depth in your contacts and company data, Breeze does offer a glimpse into the potential of enriched data.

Challenges and Limitations Encountered

No tool is without its quirks, and Breeze is no exception. One of the biggest hurdles we faced was the initial setup and understanding of how the tool works. It wasn't as straightforward as we had hoped, and turning on continuous enrichment proved to be a bit of a mystery although it seems to be working.

Moreover, the data we did receive wasn't always complete. For instance, job titles—a crucial piece of information for many businesses—were notably absent in contact records. These hiccups make it hard to recommend Breeze as a seamless solution just yet.

Real-World Application: Is It Meeting Expectations?

We put Breeze to the test with a few real-world examples, and the results were mixed. When trying to enrich a record for company (our video uses Valentino.com), we found the data coming over was the same as free Company Insights (no longer free once you turn on company enrichment). On the flip side, when we enriched contact data, we did get some useful bits like city and state, but again, key pieces like job titles were missing. These inconsistencies suggest that while Breeze has potential, it's not quite hitting the mark across the board just yet.

Final Verdict: Should You Invest in Breeze Data Enrichment?

So, should you jump on the Breeze Data bandwagon? Well, it's a bit of a mixed bag. If you're keen on exploring new data enrichment options and have the budget to back it, Breeze might be worth a look, especially if you're interested in experimenting with new segmentation strategies.

However, if you're looking for a polished and ready tool for prime time, you might want to hold off for now. The lack of seamless integration and incomplete data sets are drawbacks. We're keeping an eye on this to see how it evolves. It may be worth revisiting nearly 2025 as free Company Insights in HubSpot is headed for the scrap heap. Until then, weigh the pros and cons carefully before diving in. Keep checking back, and we'll let you know if Breeze gets the glow-up it needs to truly shine!
