It's that time of the week again—we are back with our weekly HubSpot Updates Recap! We're here to keep you in the loop with the top tweaks and enhancements that have rolled out this week. Let's get into it.
Here are the Top HubSpot Updates for the past week ending November 4, 2024:
- AI-generated Video Subtitles and Translations,
- Filter Presets on Dashboards,
- Emails index page.
AI-generated video subtitles and translations
This is a private beta. By joining, you may be asked to provide feedback on the quality of AI-generated subtitles and translations.
Marketers need to create accessible video content for their web visitors—often in multiple markets. To help, we are introducing two new capabilities. First, HubSpot can now autogenerate subtitles in the video's language. Second, we can translate those subtitles from one language into another in mere seconds.
31 languages are supported at launch: Bulgarian, Chinese (simplified), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (US), English (UK), Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (PT), Portuguese (BR), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian
How does it work?
- Go to the Files application and select a video to generate subtitles for.
- Select the Subtitles (Beta) dropdown.
- Select Generate with AI, which will open up a modal.
- Select the language in the dropdown. Ensure the language selected matches the language the video's audio is in.
- After creating the transcript, select translate.
Note: Video must have Advanced Features enabled to use subtitles.
Visitor Experience
Visitors can select the caption button. The subtitles and translated subtitles will be available to website visitors.
Filter Presets on Dashboards
With filter presets, users with edit permissions can save quick and advanced filters to create curated dashboard views. Users with view-only access can select any available presets. Each dashboard can have up to 15 filter presets.
How does it work?
1. After applying filters, users with edit permissions can choose 'Save as new filter preset'. Note: the 'Filter presets' tab appears after creating the first preset.
2. Click on ‘Save as new filter preset’ to name the preset and decide if this preset should be set as a default on the dashboard.
3. Once saved, the filter preset name replaces the ‘Advanced Filters’ CTA. In the filter presets tab, users with edit permissions can edit, delete, or set presets as default.
Emails index page
The email index page enables users to take bulk actions on individual emails. For example, users can find emails using advanced filters, select them, and delete unwanted emails. Users can also restore email records from the email index page.
Why does it Matter?
This new functionality provides users with a centralized location to manage email engagements across senders and recipients. Bulk data management activities such as deleting unwanted emails from your CRM will save users time and streamline daily activities.
How Does It Work?
Navigate to any CRM index page such as contacts.
Use the drop down in the top left of the page to select emails.
Use all of the out-of-the-box index page features to access the emails you are looking for: Advanced filters, Edit columns, Add views, Select all, Delete, etc.
If you accidentally delete emails, use the actions drop-down in the top right to restore records.
