
This week, HubSpot rolled out several updates that make life easier for sales and marketing teams alike. Whether you're generating leads from social interactions, digging deeper into sequence performance, or managing CRM properties more efficiently, these new features are all about speed, insight, and better workflows.
For the week ending May 2, 2025, there are three standout updates we think are especially worth your time:
- Create New Contacts from Social Interactions,
- Sequence Reporting Advancements, and
- Faster Property Creation Experience on the CRM Index Page.
Create New Contacts from Social Interactions
Social marketers can seamlessly create new CRM contacts from social interactions like comments, mentions, and direct messages. Once a contact has been created from social interactions, the Contact's timeline will include social interaction details, including timestamps and message content.
Integrating social interaction data into your CRM provides new opportunities for lead generation and efficient tracking of customer journeys.
How does it work?
To create a new contact from a social interaction:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Social.
- At the top, click the Reply tab. You can create contacts from any social interaction.
- From any social interaction, click the Create contact icon, fill in the details, and create the contact
Sequence Reporting Advancements
This release provides a number of updates to Sequences reporting to help sales teams quickly understand how their Sequences are performing and optimize their outreach.
An updated 'Performance' tab with reporting on Sequence Step performance
- New Call step metrics to track calls made and connected per step
- New Task on Time completion metric to track task steps completed on or before their due date
- New Email personalization rate reporting to understand how reps are personalizing emails by step
An updated 'Analyze' tab with new reports to understand trends across Sequences
- Company Insights provides a high level view of Company enrollment and engagement so you can understand how your account based outreach is performing.
- Template Performance surfaces the top email Templates used across Sequences to uncover high performing content.
- Meetings booked by step type breaks down which channels lead to the most meetings so you know which activities to lean into.
- Meetings booked by number of touches provides insight on ideal sequence length.
Why does it matter?
Sequences are scalable ways for teams to implement processes across their team, and it's incredibly important to understand the impact of these processes. These updates are designed to help teams better understand what is working well, what isn't and how they can improve performance.
How does it work?
These new reports are available within the Sequences tool. Once an admin has ungated the beta for their portal, you can find it under Automation > Sequences > Analyze or by clicking into an individual Sequence > Performance.

Faster Property Creation Experience on the CRM Index Page
You can now create properties on the CRM index page more quickly, with a streamlined, easy-to-use side panel.
It's easier and faster to create properties in context when working in the index page table.
How does it work?
To use this feature, navigate to the object's index page and click on the column header to access the contextual menu.
From the menu:
- Click "Add" to insert a new column to the right of the selected column or click "Remove" to remove the selected column.
- Click "Create new property" to open up the new side panel.
- Only text and number properties can be created with the new experience. Enumerations and other property types will be added later.
