HubSpot continues to level up productivity and automation across its platform, and this week’s updates are no exception. Whether you're streamlining support, cutting down manual CRM work, or customizing AI-powered insights, these new features are designed to save your team time and sharpen your workflows.

For the week ending May 9, 2025, here are three noteworthy updates you’ll want to check out:

  • Browse & Search Knowledge Base in the Widget Help Tab,
  • Enroll Records in Workflows from a CRM Card, and
  • Smart Properties.

Browse & Search Knowledge Base in the Widget Help Tab

HubSpot has upgraded the chat widget with a new Help tab that gives users direct access to the knowledge base—no more jumping to external websites for answers! Inside the Help tab, your users can:

  • Browse Categories: Explore knowledge base categories right in the chat widget
  • Search Articles: Find what you need with our built-in search function
  • Find Trending Articles: See what other users are reading with trending article recommendations

This update makes self-service support much smoother by keeping everything in one place, making helpful information available exactly when users need it.

How do I set it up?

This feature can be enabled independently for each chatflow. Simply navigate to the Build tab in your chatflow settings, and toggle on "Enable browse and search."

When selecting the knowledge base to display in your widget, legacy knowledge bases will be tagged as "Search Only," as browsing is not supported in legacy knowledge bases. Please make sure to migrate to the new knowledge base to enable the full browse and search experience. (The migration tool to new knowledge bases will be available to all customers in the coming weeks.)

It is also important to note that the Help tab is currently not available for rules-based chatbots. Please make sure to select either the Live Agent or Customer Agent chatflow to enable this feature.

 

Enroll Records in Workflows from a CRM Card

You can now trigger workflows directly from a CRM card! In Hubspot today, sales and service professionals are performing a variety of repetitive tasks every day which is preventing them from focusing on high-impact work like talking to customers and driving sales.

Why does it matter?

By utilizing this card, repetitive tasks like updating the CRM, researching leads, and logging activities can be effortlessly automated through AI skills and other workflow actions directly within the CRM page. This not only saves you valuable time every day, but also significantly reduces the potential for human error, allowing you to concentrate on high-impact tasks that drive business growth.

How does it work?

You can add the 'Automate' card by following these steps:

  1. Go to 'Customize record' on a contact's page
  2. Click into your default view to edit
  3. Click add cards
  4. Click create card (on the right panel, not on the center panel)
  5. Click 'Enroll in Workflow'

You should now have access to this card!

Card Creation

  • You can add up to 7 workflows per card.
  • Workflows must be active, created via the Workflows app, and match the object type (e.g., contact workflows only show on contact cards).
  • You need Workflows > Edit permission to enroll records. A new Workflows > Enroll permission—allowing manual enrollment only—is coming soon. See here for more details!

Want to know whether a particular company has a podcast? If they're remote-only? If they're a competitor? Smart properties gives you the ability to customize the data returned by Breeze Intelligence to focus on the data that's the most important to you.

Create properties with an embedded AI prompt for our agents to research and find out the answer for you. Whether it's information on the internet or within your portal, ask anything from a simple question to a complex prompt with context and data will populate within the property for use across the CRM.

Why does it matter?

Smart properties will give you the ability to ask a question, or prompt, and have Breeze Intelligence AI answer the question similar to Data Enrichment.

Want to know if they have other office locations? Just ask! Need it formatted in a certain way? Include that in your prompt too! Here's an example:

"Does this company have any office locations other than North America? If yes, list them out with the city and country. If no, then don't respond with an answer."

How does it work?

To set up Smart Properties, there are several options:

  • Quickly add new properties within your Company Index page via the "Add column" action, followed by the "Create new property" button at the bottom of that context menu, and add a prompt.
    • Supported property types include:
      • Single-line text
      • Multi-line text
      • Number
      • Single checkbox
      • Multiple checkboxes
      • Radio select
      • Dropdown select
  • Through the standard property creation flow, simply choose the Smart Fill menu to add a prompt.
  • Within the Data Enrichment settings, select the Smart Properties sub menu and create from there

Once you have your property up and running, choose to Smart Fill the column from an index view or trigger them individually from a single record within the Actions drop down.

Update May 6th:

We now support several new property types (Single checkbox, Multiple checkboxes, Radio select, Dropdown select). We also will support those new property types as output formats to make structuring the unstructured outputs even easier! Simply create a property with a smart prompt, and our research agent will format the result to automatically fit the output into the selected property type.
