HubSpot continues to roll out updates to help you optimize your marketing, sales, and reporting efforts. This week’s updates include A/B testing for CTAs, improved workflow date delays, enhanced report exports, and AI-powered report search—giving you more efficiency in your HubSpot portal.

Here a quick rundown of the Top HubSpot Updates for the past week ending February 28, 2025:

  • A/B Testing for CTAs,
  • Workflow Date Delay Improvements,
  • Adjustable Report Image Export, and
  • Improved Report Search.

A/B Testing for CTAs

You can now run A/B tests on CTAs created through the new editor. This feature allows you to compare two CTA variations to determine which one performs best based on clicks and views.

With a 50/50 traffic split, you can optimize your CTAs and make data-driven decisions to improve conversions.

A/B testing was a highly requested feature that helped customers optimize their Legacy CTAs. Now, the same powerful testing capabilities are available in the new CTAs tool. A/B testing allows you to test different CTA designs and copy to increase conversions by using data to implement the highest-performing version of popups and buttons.

Currently, A/B tests can be run on CTAs placed on your website only. A/B testing CTAs in marketing emails is not available at this time.

How does it work?

To start an A/B test on a CTA, find the CTA you want to test, click Actions, and select Run a test. Customize the name of your CTA variant and click Save.

Update the B variation of your CTA. Once you're happy with your CTA variations, Publish your CTA.

To access your A/B test results, click the Test Results tab on the CTA's Performance page.

Use the reports to analyze clicks and views for each variant. Once you have enough data, select a winning CTA—this version will be shown moving forward.

Workflow Date Delay Improvements

Date property and Calendar date delays in workflows have been updated to include more timing options.

When using these delays in a workflow, you can now:

  • Use the enrolled contact's timezone (contact workflows only)
  • Use both the date and time from a datetime property

Why does it matter?

In workflow Date property and Calendar date delays, timing has always been based on your portal's time zone. This prevented you from communicating most effectively with leads and customers, especially if your business is multinational.

Now, you can use either the portal default time zone or a contact's timezone to drive the timing of a workflow delay.

For example, you don't want to wish your customer who lives on the other side of the globe "Happy Birthday!" at 9:00pm at night.

Instead, you can now use the contact timezone option to ensure the well wishes happen at a time that's logical for them, increasing the impact of this personal touch.

Date property delays have been a great way to customize a process to each unique situation. For example, creating a task for your renewal manager when a deal's renewal date is 30 days away.

But, until now, the timing was limited to relative days, which made them ineffective for time sensitive tasks, like reminders before an appointment. With today's update, when you select a datetime property in the Date property delay, you can choose to use the time from the property itself. For example, you can delay until 1 hour before a customer's "Next appointment," then send them a timely and effective SMS reminder.

How does it work?

In workflows, choose the Delay option from the action panel. Choose to base the delay on a calendar date or a date property. You'll now see an option to choose the contact's timezone for the Time of day. Note: The timezone option is limited to delays in contact workflows.

If you choose a date property, you can now choose to use the Time of day from the date property. When you choose this option, you'll next be able to set how many hours or minutes before or after the date and time the workflow should wait before going to the next step.

Adjustable Report Image Export

"Export report as Image" makes it easy to quickly adjust the size, and use HubSpot built-in Reporting UI, to properly scale the image. No more pixelated and squished screenshots making slides hard to read!

Screenshots of reports often are used for sharing data in slides, but adjusting the size to look its best can be frustrating.

How does it work?

Open any Report from the "Reports" list page.

1. Select "Actions" in the upper right.

2. Click "Export as an Image"

3. Adjust the width with the slide or a number of pixels.

4. Click Save!

That image will now be downloaded with the correct scale applied.

 

Improved Report Search

Find the right reports faster with our AI-powered search.

We've made it easier to discover the reports you need. Now, when you search you'll see:

  • AI-recommended reports and ready-made reports that match your search.
  • Reports from the saved list, so you can quickly access reports you've created.
  • Recent searches, making it easy to pick up where you left off.

Start searching and finding the right reports in seconds.

Why does it matter?

We've upgraded the search in the Reporting to help you quickly find the reports you need. New features include Recently Searched, more AI suggestions, and improved search for ready-made reports.

How does it work?

1) Start by typing in the search bar or easily revisit past searches by clicking on your recent searches.
