Tired of chasing down invoices, cleaning up CRM dramas, or writing one more LinkedIn post? HubSpot’s latest updates are here to do the grunt work for you.

Here’s what’s new in HubSpot this week:

  • Automatic Invoice Reminders,
  • Breeze Social Media Agent,
  • Use HubSpot In-meetings App in Live Google Meet Meetings, and
  • Apply Activity Logging Defaults to External Emails.

Automatic Invoice Reminders

Invoices are now automatically created when a customer pays a Quote or Payment link through Commerce Hub. These invoices are available in HubSpot when you need them. Invoices can be shared with buyers for their records, will seamlessly sync with your accounting system, and can be used in automation and reporting.

How Does It Work?

Previously, only some payments had an Invoice created through Commerce Hub. Subscription payments and payment schedule payments created invoices, but one time payments through Quotes and Payment links did not have an invoice created. This led to an incomplete picture and made it difficult to report on revenue.

  • All payments through Quotes and Payment Links will now have an Invoice created automatically when the buyer pays.
  • If there are one time and recurring line items on the same payment, they will be consolidated on the same initial invoice and a new invoice will be created for each recurring payment.
  • Invoices will be automatically associated to relevant contact, company, and deal records.

Apply Activity Logging Defaults to External Emails

Admin-configured email logging rules now apply consistently across all email channels. Previously, these rules only applied to emails sent from contact record pages, but now they extend to emails sent through the HubSpot Sales Chrome extension, sales extension for Outlook, BCC and forwarding addresses, connected inboxes, and sequences.

This update applies the email logging rules to emails that are logged to a record from HubSpot Sales Chrome extension or Sales Extension, logged by using the BCC/forwarding emails, sent to a connected inbox, and sent automatically by sequences.

How Does It Work?

Once an admin configures default email logging rules from a contact record, these rules will automatically apply to:

  • Emails sent while viewing a contact record page
  • Emails sent using the HubSpot sales Chrome extension for Gmail
  • Emails sent using the sales extension for Outlook
  • Emails logged through BCC or forwarding addresses
  • Emails sent to connected inboxes
  • Automated emails sent through sequences
