HubSpot Updates - Monday Recap - October 26, 2026
10:18

This week’s HubSpot updates bring even more ways to simplify everyday workflows, with several new video-related enhancements, better connections to Microsoft 365, and a major expansion of the HubSpot connector for ChatGPT.

Video was a big focus this week, with a number of updates designed to make creating, sharing, and working with video content easier. We're highlighting one that lets users record personalized videos directly within CRM emails, Help Desk, and Conversations, without switching tools.

Meanwhile, the expanded HubSpot connector for ChatGPT is opening up even more possibilities for marketing, sales, service, and RevOps teams, from creating and publishing content to analyzing reports and managing CRM data.

Here are our three favorite updates for the week of October 26, 2026:

  • Video Recording in CRM, Help Desk, and Conversations,
  • Attach SharePoint and OneDrive Files to CRM Records by Link, and
  • HubSpot connector for ChatGPT: New Features and Capabilities.

Video Recording in CRM, Help Desk, and Conversations

Video Recording in CRM, Help Desk, and Conversations allows customers to record and insert personalized video directly in CRM email, Help Desk, or Conversation threads.

Switching between tools to record and share videos adds friction that discourages usage and slows down outreach. This change streamlines the workflow, allowing users to capture and send personalized videos and screen recordings in one continuous flow, and making it easier to communicate effectively in sales and support scenarios.

How does it work?

  • Open the composer in CRM email, a Help Desk ticket, or a Conversations thread.
  • Click Insert in the toolbar.
  • Select Video, then choose "Record with HubSpot".
  • Select desired camera or screen / tab / window to share
  • After recording, select your visibility:
    1. Public file (default): viewable by anyone with the link; may be indexed by search engines; visible to other users in your account's Files
    2. Private file: shared via link only; not indexed by search engines; visible only to you in Files
  • Click "Save as" to upload the video to Files and insert a link in your message, which sends recipients to a page where they can watch the video.
  • Review and send as normal.
  • Recipients who click the link and watch the video should show engagement in the Video's performance tab
    • In the Video library for Content Hub customers
    • In Files for everyone else

Attach SharePoint and OneDrive files to CRM records by link

You can now attach Microsoft SharePoint or OneDrive files and folders directly to contacts, company, deal, and ticket records in HubSpot by pasting a link. This feature is in public beta.

You can attach specific files or folders you need without browsing through sites, document libraries, or folders. This makes it faster to bring Microsoft 365 content into the context of your CRM records. For example, you can:

  • Attach a signed contract or proposal to a deal.
  • Link a customer’s onboarding folder to a company record.
  • Add a shared project folder to the contact you’re working with.

How does it work?

  1. Open a contact, company, deal, or ticket record then click Add in the SharePoint and OneDrive attachments card.
  2. In the Select attachments window, choose the SharePoint or OneDrive tab.
  3. Paste your file or folder link into the search bar.
  4. Select the result, then click Confirm to attach it to the record.

HubSpot connector for ChatGPT: New Features and Capabilities

The HubSpot connector for ChatGPT now lets you do even more with your HubSpot data from your conversation within ChatGPT.

Here's what's new:

  • Marketing emails. Create, edit, and preview HubSpot marketing emails directly in ChatGPT. Review email performance, including sends, deliveries, opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes.
  • Blog posts. Draft, edit, and tag HubSpot blog posts in ChatGPT, then publish them when they're ready.
  • Website pages. Create, edit, and publish HubSpot website pages, including updating page designs, layouts, and site navigation.
  • Content previews. Preview landing pages, website pages, and blog posts directly in ChatGPT before publishing, with links to open and edit content in HubSpot.
  • AEO tools. Check AI Engine Optimization performance, review brand recommendations, and manage tracked prompts. Requires Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise.
  • Intent signals access. Retrieve the latest signals detected for your tracked companies in HubSpot, including research, visitor, news, job change, and custom signals.
  • Segments (Lists) management. Create and manage static or active segments, update filters, and add or remove members.
  • Saved reports. Pull any saved HubSpot report into a ChatGPT conversation for consistent, repeatable analysis.
  • Conversations and Help Desk. Search and summarize customer conversations across your connected inboxes and Help Desk, including chat, email, SMS, and support tickets.
  • Custom properties and pipelines. Create custom CRM properties and pipelines to organize your data and manage processes that are specific to your business.
  • Guided HubSpot onboarding. Step-by-step guidance setting up your account and getting started with HubSpot, including setting your goals and importing contacts.

Note: The HubSpot connector for ChatGPT mirrors your existing HubSpot permissions; what you can access inside HubSpot is exactly (and only) what you can access through ChatGPT. Super admins control which permissions are enabled and can revoke access at any time. See documentation here.

Why does it matter?

The HubSpot connector for ChatGPT makes it easier to get everyday work done by bringing more HubSpot capabilities directly into ChatGPT. That means less context switching mid-workflow; more insight and action, all in one place. These updates expand what's possible for sales, marketing, and RevOps teams working across HubSpot surfaces.

Sales reps can:

  • Prioritize faster. Rank your accounts by real-time signal strength and draft personalized outreach in the same session.
    • Try: “Look across all the accounts I own. Based on signals from the last 7 days, give me a ranked shortlist of who to reach out to today and draft a personalized email for each contact.”
  • Close the loop without leaving ChatGPT. Log notes, update deals, and create follow-up tasks that are automatically attributed in HubSpot.

Marketing teams can:

  • Create, publish, and update web pages from ChatGPT. Build a new page using an existing template, publish it, pull its performance analytics, and make copyedits. All in a conversation with ChatGPT, without opening HubSpot.
    • Try: “Create a new page using my [template name] template, publish it, then show me how my other published pages have been performing this month.”
  • Build and send a campaign in one session. Create the segment, draft the email, and schedule it.
    • Try: “Create a segment of contacts in [industry] who haven’t engaged in 90 days, draft a re-engagement email, and schedule it for next Tuesday.”
  • Monitor AEO and pull reports without switching tools. Check AI engine performance, review brand recommendations, and run analysis on any saved reports all from ChatGPT.
    • Try: “How is my AEO strategy performing this month? Which competitors are gaining on me in share of voice?”
    • Try: “Show me my [report name] report. Which signals are driving the strongest pipeline progression?”
  • Create, manage and analyze the performance of marketing emails. Start from a template or build an email from scratch, and set up A/B tests to find the messaging that works best. Check your email health scores against industry benchmarks and explore individual contacts' engagement history.
    • Try: “Create a new email using my [template name] template, setup a subject line A/B test and schedule it for next Wednesday. Then show me how my marketing emails have been performing this month.”

RevOps teams can:

  • Configure your data model without opening HubSpot. Set up pipelines, stages, and custom properties directly from an AI workflow.
    • Try: “Create a new pipeline for [use case] with these stages. Add a custom property to the Contact object called [property name].”
  • Build signals into your scoring models. Feed real-time buyer intent data into you AI-powered workflows and enrichment pipelines.
    • Try: “Which intent signal clusters are showing up most on deals that progressed to opportunity stage this quarter?”

Support teams can:

  • Search and summarize customer conversations across your connected inboxes. Spot recurring customer issues and identify customers who may need follow-up, within your conversation with ChatGPT.
    • Try: “Summarize trends from support tickets this month and flag any tickets that haven’t reached a resolution in 7 days since creation”

How does it work?

The HubSpot connector for ChatGPT is available to HubSpot customers across all plans with an OpenAI account. Access to individual features depends on HubSpot subscription, enabled objects, and user permissions.

A HubSpot super admin or user with HubSpot Marketplace permissions must initially install the connector, approve requested permissions, and grant access to other users. A ChatGPT workspace admin may also need to enable the updated HubSpot connector.

Each user connects via their own HubSpot credentials, and the connector respects their existing record and object permissions. Customers already using the connector may need to disconnect and reconnect it to access the new capabilities.
