Top HubSpot Updates - Monday Recap - September 15, 2025

With HubSpot rolling out new features every week, it can be tough to know which ones really matter — and that’s where we come in. This week’s updates focus on streamlining workflows, improving reporting, and making it easier to manage your data.

Here are some of the most notable enhancements you’ll want to know about:

  • Social Metrics in the Custom Report Builder,
  • Click to Call from the Index Page,
  • Dashboard Limits Update, and
  • File Manager Sorting and Filtering Improvements.

Social Metrics in the Custom Report Builder

Unlock your social media data directly within the Custom Report Builder. You can now build customized reports using a wide array of social media metrics to gain deeper insights into your performance across networks.

Why it matters: This feature addresses the need for deeper, more flexible analysis of social media performance than currently available in standard reports. It allows users who need detailed insights to create tailored reports specific to their business goals.

Problem solved: It solves the limitations of pre-defined in-app social reporting by giving advanced users direct access to a wider range of social metrics within the familiar Custom Report Builder. This empowers users to conduct in-depth analysis and build reports that meet their specific needs, comparable to dedicated social media analytics tools.

How does it work?

How it works: New social media metrics are available as data sources within the Custom Report Builder. Users can navigate to the Custom Report Builder, select social post or channel objects as their data source, and then choose from the available social metrics to build reports, just like they would with other HubSpot data. Users can compare of key metrics (like engagements, impressions, reactions, clicks) across different social networks.

Key metrics available and comparable across supported networks: Engagements, Reactions & Likes, Impressions, Video Views, Comments, Saves, Link Clicks, Reach

Each metric represents new data based on the report's date range. For example, the impressions using a date range set to this week will display the total number of new impressions made during this calendar week. These reports will not show cumulative totals for all time.

CRITICAL LIMITATION: we are unable to backfill historical data. Data is only available starting from July 1, 2025 or the date that your social account was connected (if connected after July 1, 2025).

Click to Call from the Index Page

Phone number property values on index pages are now clickable links that open HubSpot’s calling dialer, making it easier than ever to start a call.

Why does it matter?

This update streamlines outbound calling. If you're working through a list of phone numbers, you can now launch calls with a single click — no need to copy and paste phone numbers into the dialer.

How does it work?

  1. Go to the CRM index page (any object type).
  2. When a valid phone number appears in a phone number property, it will display as a clickable link.
  3. Click the link to open the dialer with the number. It will be pre-filled and ready to dial.
  4. This works whether or not you’ve enabled phone number property validation. However, we recommend using phone number validation to ensure your numbers are in a valid format.
  5. If a value isn’t formatted as a valid phone number, it won’t be clickable.

Note: This feature currently only supports calling through HubSpot Calling.

Dashboard Limits Update

You can now add up to 50 reports per dashboard. We've also updated the dashboard limits by subscription tier:

  • Free: 10 dashboards
  • Starter: 30 dashboards
  • Professional: 75 dashboards (Data Hub Professional will have 325 dashboards)
  • Enterprise: 100 dashboards (Data Hub Enterprise will have 350 dashboards)

These changes give you more room to organize and visualize your data, while keeping things simple and scalable as your reporting needs grow.

Why does it matter?

  • More flexibility: 50 reports per dashboard means you can build richer, more complete views of your business performance without worrying about limits.
  • Scalable structure: Updated dashboard limits give growing teams more space to organize reports without having to purchase limit increases.
  • Streamlined reporting: Higher report capacity per dashboard makes it easier to create comprehensive performance views across your business.

How does it work?

  • Go to Reports > Dashboards in HubSpot.
  • Create or edit any dashboard—you'll now be able to add up to 50 reports.
  • Your dashboard limit will automatically reflect your subscription tier.

No setup required.

File Manager Sorting and Filtering Improvements

Introducing Enhanced Sorting and Filtering for the File Manager. Find your files faster with new multi-level sorting options and advanced filters. Now, you can quickly narrow your search using filters for file type, uploaded date, file status, and uploaded by.

 

Why does it matter?

Users struggle to find specific assets quickly, especially in larger organizations where multiple team members contribute to the file library. The limited filtering and sorting options make managing growing collections of files difficult, leading to frustration and wasted time. This update addresses these issues by introducing powerful sorting and filtering tools that help users locate and organize their files more efficiently.

How does it work?

The new sorting and filtering system works across both list and grid views in File Manager. Users can:

  • Filter files by multiple criteria, including:
    • File type
    • Uploaded date
    • Uploaded by
    • File status
  • Sorting files by:
    • Name
    • File size
    • File format
    • Date updated

To use these features, navigate to File Manager, look for the filter, and sort controls at the top of your file view. Click the filter to select your criteria or the sort icon to choose your sorting preferences. Active filters display visual indicators that you can remove with one click.
