Top HubSpot Updates - Monday Recap - Mar. 31, 2025

Written by Orange Marketing | March 31, 2025

Staying on top of HubSpot’s latest updates ensures you’re maximizing its powerful tools and making the most of new efficiencies. This week, three key enhancements stand out, each designed to streamline workflows, improve usability, and help teams work smarter.

Here’s a breakdown of these key HubSpot updates for the week ending April 4, 2025.

  • Updated Customer Success Workspace,
  • Business Card Scanner Enhancements, and
  • Create Workflow Redesign.

Updated Customer Success Workspace

The customer success workspace is evolving. It still provides a dedicated home base for customer success managers inside of HubSpot, but has a new look and some additional functionality making it more customer success specific. The CS workspace helps CSMs stay on top of important changes for customers, actively monitor the health of their book of business in addition to tracking renewals and onboarding.

Customer success managers don't have dedicated tooling or home inside of HubSpot. Instead, they spend a lot of time bouncing around, hunting for the information that they need to do their jobs. The customer success workspace will provide a dedicated home base and starting point for CSMs in HubSpot. The workspace will keep CSMs organized and focused, allowing them to address the needs of more of their customers.

How does it work?

Customers can find the new workspace under Workspaces --> Customer Success. The workspace is customized to the user who is viewing the workspace and is available to users with a service hub pro or enterprise seat.

The workspace now includes:

  1. Summary tab: Get an alert when the health score of their customers changes, see out of the box health score reports for their book of business, see overviews of their book of business and pinned reports that have been set by their manager.
  2. Customers Tab: Track their customers with both shared and private views using contacts, companies or custom objects (formerly the portfolio tab)
  3. Services Tab: Monitor onboarding, implementation or other service delivery with the new service object, custom objects, and tickets (only for existing HubSpot customers)
  4. Revenue: Plan for renewals and expansions using deals, subscriptions and/or custom objects

We've also introduced additional pipeline settings that managers can use to keep their team focused on the pipelines and formats that their team uses, removing any additional clutter.

Business Card Scanner Enhancements

Scanning business cards just got easier with the HubSpot mobile app!

Update the app to get an upgrade to the business card scanner experience that makes it faster and more intuitive to create contacts from a scan. We’ve added:

  • Expanded field support: You can capture additional information like physical addresses.
  • Tap to edit a property: You can edit scanned information directly within the contact form for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Visual confirmation: A clear image of the scanned business card is displayed at the top of the contact creation screen for easy verification.
  • Gallery integration: You can scan business cards directly from your device's gallery.

Why does it matter?

We want to make sure you can feel confident capturing the right information quickly when you use the business card scanner.

Customers wanted a more intuitive experience that was quick and easy to use. Based on your feedback we’ve improved the process of capturing your contacts from business cards and QR codes.

How does it work?

  • Tap ‘Scan card or QR code’ from the Create button on the home screen or Contact button from Contacts.
  • A camera screen will pop up, take a photo of the business card or vCard QR code.
  • On the next screen, crop the image as needed and tap ‘Confirm’.
  • Edit or add any information directly in-line on the form if needed and tap ‘Save’.

To scan from your device’s gallery, simply click the photo icon instead of taking a photo and follow the same steps.

Create Workflow Redesign

You can now start building your workflow by browsing all of the available triggers, instead of being forced to choose an object first, which immediately limited the triggers you could choose from.

Why does it matter?

In the past, when creating a workflow, the first step was to choose an object type.

For newer customers who haven't yet learned HubSpot terminology, the choice is overwhelming and confusing.

For all users, this meant you had to commit to one object, before even knowing if the trigger you need exists within that option. If the trigger you needed wasn't available there, you'd either assume it's not a feature workflows offers (though it really might be, but somewhere else) or go through the trouble of abandoning that workflow, and starting a new one all over again.

With this change, after clicking "Create workflow" from the workflows homepage, you'll go directly into the workflow builder, where you can browse all of the possible workflow triggers and start building based on that choice. When a trigger is selected, the object type will be set for the workflow automatically where possible (for example, if a form submission trigger is set, the workflow type will be a contact workflow) or you'll be prompted to choose an object if the selected trigger could apply to multiple different objects (for example, property change triggers).

This update makes it easier for to you to find the best fit trigger for the task at hand, while making the workflow building process quicker, with fewer clicks and decisions required in order to get started.

How does it work?

In your HubSpot account, navigate to Automations > Workflows.

  • Click the orange Create workflow button and choose From scratch
  • Search for, or browse the available triggers. Every single possible trigger type is available at this step. This includes "Met filter conditions" and Manual enrollment only.
  • Select and configure your trigger. If the trigger is only relevant to a specific object type, that object type will be decided automatically. If it could be applicable to several triggers, you will be asked to specify the object type next.
  • Set up refinement criteria if applicable or necessary
  • Save your trigger and move on to adding actions
