Here’s what’s new in HubSpot this week! From powerful new knowledge base customization tools to a health score builder for better customer success tracking, these updates will help you enhance and optimize your HubSpot experience.
Here’s a breakdown of the key HubSpot updates for the week ending March 14, 2025.
The previous release "Customization tools for new knowledge bases" required that users start from scratch to take advantage of new customization features. With this update, HubSpot offers an easy path for existing customers to migrate their legacy knowledge base to the new platform.
NOTE: This release is only applicable to customers that have legacy knowledge bases to migrate to the new tools. To confirm if you should be utilizing this migration tool, check out your knowledge base dashboard and look for our legacy interface:
If you see a "Configure" dropdown in lieu of the "Customize template" and "Organize categories" buttons, you're already taking advantage of our newest tools!
New customization features in the knowledge base tool are outlined below:
→ Please note: Custom themes and developer tools are not supported for the KB at this time.
When viewing a legacy knowledge base, users will be given the option to migrate over to our new tools.
Upon confirmation, our migration flow will create a copy of the legacy knowledge base using the new platform and the legacy knowledge base will become read-only. Users will be able to customize dozens of new style fields, review their changes, and then publish their new knowledge base live when they're ready to go. Upon publishing the new knowledge base, corresponding legacy KBs will be unpublished automatically and will be deleted after 30 days post-publish.
Users will have 90 days to begin the migration flow. We'll begin migrating any remaining users over in June 2025.
Check out this quick overview and get started.
NOTE: This release is available to Service Pro and Service Enterprise users only.
Please note: This release is for new knowledge bases only. For customers with existing HubSpot knowledge bases, there will be a forthcoming release: "Migrate your existing knowledge base onto the new suite of customization tools"
With this update, we’re introducing a slew of new customization features to the knowledge base tool.
Whew! That's a lot!
Simply create a new knowledge base to get started.
All new Service Hub Professional and Enterprise accounts will have the option to use the revamped knowledge base tool. Similarly, existing customers who have not yet activated the knowledge base are eligible to try out the new experience.
The new knowledge base tool is not compatible with our legacy tool, so for now it only works for those starting from scratch. For customers with existing HubSpot knowledge bases who would like to migrate to the new tools, there will be a forthcoming release: "Migrate your existing knowledge base onto the new suite of customization tools".

Company health score is a new tool that gives customers the ability to weight properties and activities taken by contacts and roll them up to a score on the company record. This score will be recorded on the company record.
Customer success teams want to identify trends, opportunities and problems within their customer base. They have a lot of information about how their customers are engaging with their company but they don’t feel like they can use it effectively. CS teams need help aggregating and evaluating data points about individual companies in an automated way so that they can identify who is getting a lot of value and who is a potential churn risk.
In the customer success workspace, admins can click the settings button and then click Health Score tab. From here, they can set-up threshold values between 0 - 100 for at-risk, neutral and healthy customers. They will also decide which companies will be eligible for this score using lists and/or company properties. As well, as deciding how contact activities and properties roll-up to the company score (min, max, sum, average)
Then, they can set their score rules. Customers can include any event or property from a contact associated with the company, as well as any event or property from the company record. Customers must choose the weight of each individual rule. Customers can preview the score after they built it before going live with it. Once live, all companies that are eligible for the score will receive a score based on existing information.
The health score will be displayed as two properties on the company record, a raw number and a health status (at-risk, neutral, healthy). These properties can be pinned on the company record, added to the index page and will be available by default within the customer success workspace.
Customers with a service hub pro or enterprise seat also have access to the health score card that shows the score, the status, recent changes that resulted in the current score, along with a link to a chart and table showing the score history over time (going back up to 2 years).
You can now easily sort, freeze, add, and remove columns right on the Index table.
This feature enables you to sort, pin, add, and remove columns directly on the table itself without needing to open a separate editor, eliminating extra steps and saving time.
To use this feature, navigate to the object's index page and click on the column header to access the contextual menu.
